This 4-song EP from Florida / Tennessee synthpop duo Veranear begins with the original version of “Wrapped in the Warm Waves”, a song from their debut “Adventure” EP, and then ventures out with three wildly varied remixes. The sprawling chillwave dreamscape of the title track features Jake Brown (ex-Twothirtyeight, Moments in Grace, Decahedron, En Masse) on synths, drums & vocals, Brandon Highfill (NOI, Fragments of God, Kinhin) on guitar and special guest vocals from Chris and Gileah Taylor. Alan Mills (of Burl) pulls the track into haunted zones with unusual vocal and space manipulations and fresh instrumentation. Michael Rice melts away the all the pop frills to create an ever-evolving dreamscape. Jake wraps up the EP by pulling the pieces back together for a bouncy, house-music voyage.
